He is one of the persons who went to Mongolia before us, and collected a tremendous amount of (mainly) Arthropoda during six consecutive travels. What a man he was!

With my foundation (BioMongol Foundation) I am trying to continue his work and that of others (e.g. the Mongolian-German collaborations). Since 2019 I am organising annual entomological collecting expeditions to Mongolia, in collaboration with local NGO’s and the National University of Mongolia (NUM). After three very successful travels, the next one takes place from May 24 till June 15, 2024. See my website for some details: http://www.biomongol.org.
